Abstract:
|
A rethinking of Freud's theory of the unconscious
Matte Blanco's theories are among the most remarkable and also the least understood in the history of psychoanalysis. Eric Rayner has written an incisive and much needed introduction to his work, using vivid clinical examples to explain key concepts. The significance of Matte Blanco for future research is shown by relating his work to key thinkers in disciplines that range from mathematics to anthropology.
