L'alexithymie fait partie des maladies psychosomatiques au cours desquelles le patient éprouve d'énormes difficultés à traduire en mots ses sentiments et ses émotions. Il s'agit d'une suspension intellectuelle s'accompagnant d'une inhibition non conforme à la raison (incohérence) s'accompagnant de difficulté à exprimer les manifestations de la pensée.
