Resumen:
|
This book deals with the empirical investigations of the past two decades in the area of phenomenological theory known as self theory. Although many theorists have utilized the self as a personality construct, few have carried out systematic research aimed at validating propositions concerning the self. Almost half of the book is taken up by the chapter dealing with measures of self-regard, self-acceptance, and similar concepts. Such measures are primarily concerned with how the individual feels about himself.
