Résumé : |
The Bardas family and their relations to the Freud family.
This article describes the close relationships between two families who met in different contexts over many years. In 1899 Fanny Bardas was in analysis with Sigmund Freud. Her son, Willy Bardas, a well-known pianist and musicologist at the time, appropriated psychoanalytic concepts and used them in his publications, including the journal Imago. On the other hand, Ernst, Freud's son, had kept close contact with the Bardas family and Anna, Freud's daughter, also mentioned "Ernst and Willy" in her letters. From today's perspective, the mixing of friendly connection with therapeutic-professional relationships might seem strange. It is interesting to note, however, that those involvd at the time had not felt any boundary violations. |
