| Résumé : | An inquiry into the circumstances of a photo from 1897, showing Freud with his back to a wall where photographical prints are fixed by small nails. When and where was the photo taken, by whom, and for what purpose? What is the meaning of those prints, and why do their counterparts, kept in the archives of the Freud Museum, bear no pinholes? Some facts answering these questions can be established, but beyond their edges everything else remains in the twilight of interpretation. |
