Abstract:

As a result of the work on a comprehensive, digital ›historical-critical Sigmund Freud Edition‹, which an interdisciplinary team is working on in Vienna, an increasingly complete, newly systematized bibliography of works and letters is generated. It is based on the Freud-Bibliography by Meyer-Palmedo, Gerhard Fichtner and Albrecht Hirschmüller and the signatures of the ›Sigmund Freud Gesamtausgabe‹ (SFG) edited by Christfried Tögel, but organized close to the definition of a »work« based on the › FunctionalRequirements for Bibliographic Records‹. All anifestations of a work relevant to a critical edition are taken into account, regardless of whether or when they were published. The inventory of Freud’s letters is kept separate from the works, its bibliography lists the initial publication of letters in the original language. A concordance estab-lishes the connection to the existing bibliography systems.
